Customers

With its excellent starting position ACE Terminal offers a lot of flexibility to customers for storage and handling of ammonia, and the further transit of both ammonia and hydrogen to end users.

As a service provider, the open access facility will not be the owner of the hydrogen or ammonia. ACE Terminal will facilitate the storage and handling of hydrogen carried by ammonia for customers who want to import hydrogen to the local industry and in northwest Europe.

In addition, with a cracker facility ACE Terminal can provide the conversion of the ammonia back into hydrogen again. With access to the national and European hydrogen network the hydrogen can then be fed into the energy system, ready for use and fulfilling customer demand for green hydrogen.

Furthermore, it is expected that the imported green ammonia will also be of interest to markets that now use grey ammonia made from natural gas, such as the fertilizer industry that uses ammonia as feedstock. There are also opportunities for using ammonia in heavy transport for example as a shipping fuel.

Customers of the terminal can apply for funding from the SDE++ subsidy scheme.

Get in touch with hydrogen market players from all over the world!

The hydrogen market and supply chain is developing. ACE Terminal wants to facilitate the safe storage and distribution of imported hydrogen carried by ammonia for customers in Northwest Europe. The Match & Connect platform provided by Gasunie creates an option for market players to easily connect with potential (end) users, producers or shippers (traders) who are active in the hydrogen chain. Match & Connect plays no active role in the actual matching; the market players match themselves and after that it is up to the parties to reach any agreements between themselves, without intervention from the platform. ACE Terminal will be a service provider between hydrogen suppliers and off takers. Although ACE Terminal does not participate in the platform, we support the platform.
